Just lost a regular customer in my wife, who for years has been served by very nice staff when she asks for something a little different than what's on the menu. This morning the GENERAL MANAGER told her she was wrong about the experience she's had there and that there is no way they can accommodate her order.
I ordered rapid pick-up today at 9:50am. Arrived at 10:20am and my order was not completed. Then they informed me they do not have soup ready before 11am (which was the main part of my order and not mentioned on the website). I settled for the soup they had available and left around 10:30am with my food. When I opened it 5-10 min later, everything was cold and they forgot both of my sides. Will not go back.
I asked if they had a Carmel macchiatto and they didn't but an employee chimed in and said he would make it! As some who works in customer service I really appreciate him taking initiative to ensure I got everything I wanted. I believe his name was lane or maybe lance, I meant to write it down but I forgot. Anyways the macchiato is wonderful! Thank you!
The last couple of times I went the service was extremely bad, and the food wasn't good. The sandwich I ordered was a mess. It was almost like they had dropped it and kind of tossed it back together.
The Panera website wasn't allowing me to place my catering order with a pick-up time earlier than 9 am. This was probably due to my placing the order late in the evening the day before I wanted to pick it up. I called in first thing in the morning and spoke with Becky, the catering manager. She took my order and made sure that it was ready for me. She was very pleasant and thorough, making certain that my rapid pick-up order that was able to placed online was ready at the same time. Great food and fantastic service. Thank you Becky!
