Closely affiliated with St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blacksburg.

A small parish, one very kind Priest, at least one Deacon. Apparently a strong Spanish element, but I've only attended the English service so far. As a first time visitor I was greeted warmly by parishioners. Vatican II Latin Rite.

There is a small cry room with visual/audio, but the atmosphere is family friendly. Most kids stay in the congregation.

Not too sure about all the different ministries, but there are ministries with VT, food banks, Knights of Columbus, music/choir...etc.

+JMJ Lovely little Church with a very welcoming community. As one who loves to visit Catholic Churches whenever I travel, this visit was more than a sightseeing visit. A friend and I traveled 3 hours from Richmond, VA, to participate in a very special scheduled event: A program featuring the viewing of the Relics of priests and laity martyred in Mexico during the 1920s. We weren't able to stay for the viewing of the movie, "For the Greater Glory," but we were pleased to be able to spend time in prayer in the Church prior to the offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The purpose of the visitation of the Mexican Martyrs' Relics was to manifest a visible witness of those who suffered and died for the protection and propagation of the Roman Catholic Faith which had been usurped by anti-clerical, anti-Christian controlling powers in Mexico. In imitation of Jesus' life sacrifice for the salvation of mankind, many men, women, AND children gave their lives as a testimony to their belief that it is better to suffer and die for the truth of God's existence and love for all mankind than for the lies promoted by the atheistic (man's intelligence and ingenuity alone reigns) ruling class. And, just to mention. Relics are not personal effects to be worshiped but are made available to place before the eyes visible encouragement for the faithful to stand fast in the faith even unto death.

A great small Catholic community.
