I am a new mommy and needed a change. I came to Charmaine's salon and was a little disappointed that she was booked up so far in advance. Instead I was assigned another stylist, Melinda. I have to say that I was soon not disappointed at all. Melinda took very good care of me and I left looking fantastic with my new deep red color. Thanks to everyone at the salon for being so welcoming and for helping this mommy get her groove back!! :)
Top notch! Melanie knows what she's doing - best haircut & style (important to know how to do both!) that I've had in YEARS!!! She listens and understands how to translate your wants (I bring photos) into something that works for you. Everyone in the salon was super friendly. I am a convert! Next time in I'll try some highlights to cover the bit of grey creeping in...
CharMarie is a wonderful salon. The staff is very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I've been going here faithfully since September of 2015 and look forward to being a continuing customer for many years to come.
This is my second time at Charmarie and only good things to say. Booking with Amy K a month in advance is totally worth it and I think speaks volumes about her work & client relationships. I love her willingness to see the pictures I bring and hear what I want as well as really understand what I don't want. Having a stressful career, I appreciate her kind demeanor and that I can count on a relaxing experience for my self-care which is so important for my profession (counselor). It's really nice that she gets that and takes care of me. Easily best salon experience I've had in the NRV!
I cannot put into words (but I'm going to try) how wonderful this salon and especially my stylist Candice is!! It was my first time at the salon and I booked it online (very useful) for a full head balayage at 10:30. I have naturally dark brown hair but about 3 months ago dyed it black (professional, not out of the box). I have never had lighter hair, brown or blonde, so I had no idea what to expect. I also have A LOT of hair AND I am VERY VERY tender headed....Candice had her work cut out for her. She was SO helpful, knew exactly what she was talking about and made me feel comfortable right away. She listened to my likes and dislikes and you could tell she truly cared about what was happening. I was in the salon for 8 hours but that is not a fault of them! I have a lot of hair and a lot of work had to be done (color lifting twice, washing three times, blow drying completely dry twice, then the balayage, etc.). It was more than I think both of us expected going into the appointment and I interfered with her other clients' times but she was nothing but patient and balanced everything. The whole salon in fact helped out with washing and drying and literally just getting everything done. I felt as thought they all truly cared about me and my hair, not just rushing to get me out of there. My finished product was BEYOND what I could have asked for and she truly is amazing (and my hair is still as strong if not stronger than when I came in). No damage to my hair AND I could not be happier. Very long review but I just couldn't be more thankful to these ladies
