They accidentally sold our drywall which we had previously bought but the 2 guys Jonathon and Jacob were real nice and helped us out and gave us 35 new sheets of drywall
Have to beg for assistance. Waited for 20 minutes for anyone to address us. Had to walk up to customer service desk, only to have the cashier page someone who never showed up. Finally got someone to help with purchase, only to have that messed up. Never received delivery of appliance because the sales person didn't know what delivery and installation meant. Never go back. Very sad day to expect service and get none
The customer service rep stuck with the task to locate and print a 6-month old receipt and order number for me when I couldn't locate them at home. The printer refused to print the entire receipt and she FINALLY have the printer the right commands and it printed.
This is a good place to shop if you know exactly what you are looking for and exactly where it is in the store. Forget getting help from someone working there. They will walk away from you instead of helping. And I have found that most of them do not know the item you are looking for and they don't know where in the store it is located.
That said, the first reason I haven't rated the store as a whole very well is my experience buying a fridge. I purchased a new fridge, and the one they delivered had chipping paint on the front. Their manager's actual solution was to offer me some appliance paint. I was livid, and luckily someone from the appliance department overheard and recovered the customer service situation, making sure the unit was swapped out ASAP. It took a couple tries to get one without chipped paint, and the one I finally settled on had no chips, but a big dent in the top. But after 2 replacements I just caved and accepted it as the best I was going to get without spending even more time on it.
As for the actual people on the front end, they're great and friendly. I recently purchased a house and have been renovating it in my free time. That has resulted in a large amount of small purchases online for pickup. The folks at the pickup desk have been really good and friendly, though they often seem a bit understaffed.
The rest of the low rating is on their "pro install" services. I had a couple replacement windows quoted. I felt like their salesperson was trying to manupliate me. Things from a car dealership like pressuring to decide quickly because their "big sale" was ending at the end of the week. And referencing some mysterious neighbor of mine who he just quoted a great price for. And he assured me that their price really good, and was something overall like 30% discounted. What a deal! Well the very next quote I received (Crockett) was a full third less ($650 vs $950), and without the bad taste or bulls***.
They're doing fine in my book as a store, but any time I've tried to use a service from them I've had a bad time.
I also reached out for a quote to replace my front and back door, but they won't even offer an estimate without charging $35, which is pretty much unheard of. Just seems like another tactic since for most people, once you've invested that fee you're much less likely to go anywhere else.
